About Avon, IN - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Avon, Indiana is a moderately sized town found in Hendricks County. As of 2017, the population was approaching 18,000 residents. Incorporated in 1995, Avon is located about five miles west of Indianapolis and ten minutes from the Indianapolis International Airport. This new community prides itself on preserving its natural environment, and it is Hendricks County’s only Tree City USA community. Avon is home to excellent schools with a strong musical tradition, and the Avon High School Marching Band has won two national championships.

As a quiet, residential community, there aren’t many major attractions located in Avon, but there are still some fun things to do. Recreational activities for the entire family are available at Monster Mini Golf, Xtreme Lazer Tag, Hot Skates, and JR Funnigans Jump-N-Play. Residents who want to spend some time outdoors might like a walk at Washington Township Park, while visitors in need of some relaxation might wish to book a service as the Shangri-la Foot Spa.

With four recognizable seasons throughout the year, Avon residents should plan for varied weather conditions. Summers in the region are hot with high humidity, with average daily highs reaching into the mid-80s. Gone are the days of relying on a single window unit A/C, as there are many affordable and energy efficient central air conditioning options on the market. The right central air conditioner will keep indoor temperatures cool and consistent all while improving air quality.

Weather extremes are highly likely during the winter months. Temperatures are cold, sometimes bitterly. Average daily highs reach the mid-30s, but nighttime temperatures in the low-20s are common. These thermostat readings are well below the freezing point, so dangerous conditions may result both indoors and outdoors without the right precautions. A reliable natural gas or electric furnace will go further than just keeping indoor temperatures warm, as this system will also protect plumbing and other valuable home systems.
