About Westfield, IN - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Westfield, Indiana is part of the Indianapolis Metro Area, and as of 2017 about 40,000 people called the city home. Originally founded by North Carolina Quakers in 1834, the community was originally planned as an Underground Railroad stop. Westfield was incorporated as a town in 1849 and as a city in 2008. There is an extensive school system located within the city limits, including six elementary schools, an intermediate school, a middle school, and Westfield High School. Three private educational opportunities are also available.

There are several interesting places to visit in Westfield. Grand Park is arguably the most noteworthy destination, as it is the largest youth sports campus within the U.S. The sports complex features 26 baseball diamonds, 31 outdoor sports fields, and an indoor event center, and it even hosts the annual Little League World Series. Visitors who are not in the area for a sports tournament or event might like to stop at Urban Vines Winery & Brewing Company, MacGregor Park, or the Main Street Shoppes.

The climate of Westfield is characterized by four very distinct and separate seasons. The spring is wet, and severe thunderstorms with the possibility of tornadoes are a looming threat. Summer weather is hot and muggy, with high temperatures in the 80s and oppressive humidity. Fortunately, tempreatures tend to cool down toward the end of September and lead to a warm to mild autumn – a favorite season for many Westfield locals.

Winters in Westfield are cold and snowy. Measurable snow typically begins in late November and is finished by early April, and the area receives about 25 total inches of accumulation. While snowfall totals are significantly lower than north-central portions of the state in the “Snowbelt”, when combined with freezing temperatures, these conditions are still dangerous. A reliable gas or electric furnace – specifically one that has been appropriately sized for a home – is a good long-term investment that will keep residents comfortable for years to come.
